Lanarkshire’s top organisations will once again be honoured with prestigious awards at the Lanarkshire Business Excellence Awards on Friday 11th March 2011 at the Alona Hotel.
The Awards are being hosted by North Lanarkshire and South Lanarkshire Councils. The awards are a means of giving proper recognition to the achievements of our most enterprising companies and organisations.
The Awards are open to businesses operating within the Lanarkshire area. Businesses that are owned by parent companies based outwith Lanarkshire may also enter, provided that they can demonstrate a significant degree of local autonomy over its operations, policies and strategies.
This year, there are nine award categories and you can enter as many award categories as you wish. Individual application forms with one set of rules of entry can be downloaded from our website, enabling easier and faster completion. The deadline for completed entries is 12 noon on Monday 17th January 2011. The website [bottom of page] can be accessed to register and download the entry forms. In addition, you have an opportunity to nominate another organisation that you believe deserves recognition
The nine award categories are:
· Lanarkshire’s Best Business (26 employees or more), sponsored by Westcrowns Contracting Services
· Lanarkshire’s Best Business (25 employees or less), sponsored by UK Steel Enterprise
· Lanarkshire’s Food & Drink Award, sponsored by the AlonA Hotel
· Lanarkshire’s Best Green Business, sponsored by SSE
· Lanarkshire’s Best Performing Social Enterprise, sponsored by Saltire
· Lanarkshire’s Best New Business, sponsored by Lanarkshire Enterprise Services
· Lanarkshire’s Leisure & Tourism Award, sponsored by Lanarkshire Area Tourism Partnership
· Excellence in People Development, sponsored by Motherwell, Coatbridge, Cumbernauld and South Lanarkshire Colleges (Lanarkshire Colleges Consortium)
· Innovation in Business, sponsorship opportunity still available
