Digital Switchover

Wednesday 22nd June sees the second part of the Digital Switchover in North Lanarkshire.  

Switchover will affect Freeview, BT Vision and Top Up TV viewers, who will need to retune TVs and boxes to restore any missing channels. All services should be available by mid afternoon.

 
Re-tuning your Freeview equipment

• Switch on your digital box or TV.
  
• Press Menu on the remote control
  
• Select the “First time installation” option, which is also sometimes called “factory reset”, “full re-tune” or “default settings”
  
• Press OK if you are asked to delete all of your channels – don’t worry, this is normal.
  
• If you are then prompted for a code try 0000 or 1234
  
• Channels will then automatically be installed. This may take several minutes and your equipment may shut down and re-start.
  
• After the re-tuning  you may have to reset your favourites and when you re-tune a digital recorder, you should reset your future settings.

The Switchover Scheme

 

Eligible older and disabled people can still apply for the Switchover Help Scheme until 22 July 2011 (one month after the switchover of the final transmitter in the STV Central region).
