CACE - Community Transport Project Manager.

CACE are seeking to recruit a Community Transport Project Manager.

Cumbernauld Action for Care of the Elderly CACE was founded in 1990 and is the leader provider of quality day-care for older people in Cumbernauld and surrounding villages. We provide creative social based activities and learning opportunities primarily in group settings. We also run a Community Transport project with regular outings and transport to and from our centre. Because of the impact of COVID 19 a lot of our services have had to change to better fit our community needs. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to work alongside our Director of Transformational Change to support a procurement exercise to bring in 2 new electric minibuses to the organisation and manage that process through all necessary stages as well as contributing in general to a wider project to expand our overall Community Transport project.

The main purpose of this post is to work with the Director of Transformational Change and CEO to manage the Community Transport project. This project initially will involve the procurement and delivery of 2 Electric vehicles by specified deadlines. The funding for the cost of the vehicles has already been secured. The role will involve the initial procurement stage then the on-going management of the project adhering to deadlines as well as reporting on progress and management of risks.

This project will involve working with key stakeholders and partners to identify the need for charging points and arranging the successful procurement of charging points and a charging infrastructure if required.

On-going reporting on the reduction of carbon omissions will be required after successful completion of the procurement stage of the project.

As CACE continues to go through a period of organisational change the successful candidate will also be required to work with the Director of Transformational Change and CEO on developing the overall CACE Community Transport Project within the organization to optimise the opportunity the new vehicles and existing fleet offer.
