Clyde Valley Residual Waste Project - FREE TRAINING WORKSHOPS

Clyde Valley Project

Viridor offer FREE training workshops to Small Medium Enterprises and Social Enterprises across Clyde Valley as part of its community benefits commitment.

Viridor, in partnership with the local authorities, will transform waste management across the Clyde Valley helping to create a strong sustainable long-term future for their waste management, whilst delivering environmental, economic and community benefits across the region.

The Clyde Valley Waste Partnership will enable, five councils - East Dunbartonshire, East Renfrewshire, North Ayrshire, North Lanarkshire and Renfrewshire, to work together to transform how waste is handled to conserve and reuse resources.

The partnership will divert waste from landfill by capturing recyclable materials from residual waste before recovering renewable energy from what remains.

Under this partnership agreement, up to 190,000 tonnes of the authority’s residual waste per year, will be treated at an advanced Energy Recovery Facility (ERF).
