Link Worker – based in the Children and Young Peoples Neurodevelopment Team in Newmains Health Centre Wishaw

Closing Date – Friday 6th December

Salary £23,000 pro rata 30 Hours a week)

 

(Funded until Jan 2021 Post may continue beyond initial period)

Are you caring, compassionate, enthusiastic and committed to supporting children, young people and their parent/carers. Based within the Neurodevelopmental Service for Children and young people in Newmains Wishaw, we are looking for a highly motivated individual to support families through the assessment process and possible diagnosis of a neurodevelopmental difficulties.

This will include the provision of direct support to families to enable and empower them to make their own informed choices and access a range of supports to improve wellbeing, develop social networks and be a valued member of the communities in which they live.

You will have excellent people skills and have experience of working with or supporting families who have a child or young person with an additional support need.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new service for a highly skilled individual. You will liaise with clinical colleagues and work with them as an integral part of a multi -disciplinary team, including Psychologists, speech and language therapists and psychiatrists.  You will contribute to and support development of the link worker role and ensure a high quality of support within the Neurodevelopmental team and the wider community and voluntary sector.
