The Project has been set up with the focus of changing attitudes and mind-sets of adults on Community Payback Orders. The aim is to provide Numeracy, Literacy, Communication and IT skills.
Volunteers would be trained, by the co-ordinator, and led by the part-time staff. This would include all our Induction Courses. These will focus on Health & Wellbeing, Managing Mental Health, Offending, Drug/Alcohol Awareness, Parenting, Managing My Mind and Self Awareness. The aims and objectives of “Inside Out” (The Offender Programme), will be to provide Numeracy and Literacy Skills, as well as Communication and IT Skills. The Project would be community led, from a volunteer perspective. Our workers will advocate and support, service users, through a journey of self-awareness and will analyse Offending Behaviours, whilst asset building on current strengths. Our aim is to recruit retired, or working, teachers, educators, trainers or members of the public, interested in helping people to achieve. Volunteers will be encouraged to involve service users, within the local community, to promote social inclusion and create opportunities for candidates.
This opportunity will be available in Coatbridge, Wishaw, Bellshill, Kilsyth, Airdrie, Cumbernauld and Motherwell.
