Grow Wild – Community Project Funding

Next Application Deadline: 15th January 2018

Have you got a ridiculously exciting idea for a project that brings people together through activities that help connect their community and celebrate UK native wild flowers, plants and/or fungi?

Awards of £2000 or £4000 are available for groups to transform their space or to do something new or creative projects that help communities and celebrate our native wild flowers, plants and fungi. Applications need to be in by 15th January 2018 for your chance to join Grow Wild’s project network.

Christina Mary Hendrie Trust

Next Application Deadline: 15th February 2018

The Trust’s charitable purposes are broadly stated, our focus is specifically on assisting other charities operating in Scotland or Canada, specialising in work related to the young (up to the age of 21) and the old (over the age of 65). These ages are given as guidelines and are not fixed. Within the criteria there is a particular but not exclusive or predominant interest in hospices and veterans of the armed forces. The minimum award is £1000 and the maximum is £50 000 with an average award of £7500.

Church of Scotland – Go For it Fund

Next Application Deadline: 23rd February 2018 (5pm)

Go For It is about funding change in church and community. The Fund aims to encourage creative ways of working which develop the life and mission of the local church and are transformative for both communities and congregations. Main Grants offer long term funding to support the core work of projects that have done some research and tested out their ideas. Grants of £5000 to £45 000 (over 3 years) can be awarded.

Weir Charitable Trust

Next Application Deadline: 28th February 2018 (5pm)

The Weir Charitable Trust aims to support Scottish-based community groups and small charities to provide services across Scotland to help the Scottish community. These groups and charities are likely to have found it difficult to access funds elsewhere.

The Trust will consider funding specific activities and services in sport, recreational facilities, animal welfare, health and cultural projects to improve the quality of life for people, either through a particular field of expertise or via a local community. The average award granted to date is £3,500 but, in exceptional circumstancesthe Trust will consider applications for funds of up to £25,000.
