Below is our monthly funding round up of grant funding for the third sector in North Lanarkshire:

A B Charitable Trust

Next Application Deadline: 2nd March 2018

ABCT supports small to medium charities that defend human rights and promote respect for vulnerable individuals whatever their circumstances. Organisations can apply for up to £20 000.

The Trust is particularly interested in charities that work with marginalised and excluded people in society, with a focus on:

  • migrants, refugees and asylum seekers
  • prisoners and penal reform
  • human rights, particularly access to justice

National Churches Trust – Community Grants

Next Application Deadline: 5th March 2018

The Community Grants programme offers grants that are usually between £5000 and £25 000 towards the cost of projects that introduce facilities (kitchens and accessible toilets) to enable increased community use of places of worship.

National Churches Trust – Repairs

Next Application Deadline: 5th March 2018

The Repair Grants programme offers grants that are usually of between £5000 and £40 000 towards the cost of urgent and essential repair projects. The building should be open to the public for a minimum of 40 days a year beyond worship and projects are expected to raise 50% of the total cost of the project through other means.

WREN – FCC Scottish Action Fund

Next Application Deadline: 14th March 2018 (5pm)

This scheme offers funding of between £2,000 and £50,000 to projects from FCC Environment through the Scottish Landfill Communities Fund. WREN are registered with the Scottish Environment Protection Agency as an Approved Body and welcomes applications from charities, parish councils, church, community organisations local authorities and voluntary groups, operating on a not for profit basis. Organisations should meet one of the funds five objects.

Comic Relief Core Strength – Local Communities

The Core Strength – Local Communities initiative provides funding for essential core running costs for small locally led community organisations.  Grants between £1,000 to £10,000 for up to 12 months are available to local community organisations with an annual income of up to £100,000. The initiative will sit under the Comic Relief programme of Building Stronger Communities – supporting groups who work to make their communities more connected, empowered and productive.  Decisions for this round will be communicated in April 2018.  They have not set a deadline for applications however, they will close the programme, without prior notice, once they reach the required number of applications.
