2019 marks the 35th anniversary of Volunteers’ Week (1-7 June), when the community and voluntary sector across Scotland celebrates volunteering.
During the week, hundreds of events and celebrations take place across the country, saying thank you to volunteers and recognising their invaluable and diverse contribution to thier communities.
Volunteers’ Week helps organisations celebrate their volunteers’ work and encourages volunteers to share their own stories.
The week can also help highlight how people can access volunteering opportunities and overcome any barriers they might be facing, so there’s a real benefit in getting involved for charities large and small.
You can download our resource kit, which has some great ideas on the theme of “growing volunteering”.
Also, see the Volunteer.scot website for more resources, including social media banners, graphics and templates.
