The purpose of this engagement is to explore three themes in more detail with local delivery organisations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u00b7 The Person:<\/strong> Everyone should have a fair opportunity to access a \u201cconnector\u201d who offers social prescribing support that improves their health and wellbeing, regardless of their circumstances, where they live or how they enter the system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u00b7 The Workforce:<\/strong> Scoping what is needed to strengthen the skills, confidence, and wellbeing of everyone involved in delivering social prescribing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u00b7 The System<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> Scoping what local organisations need to work effectively together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Events<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are hosting two events following the Locality Network Events for Bellshill &amp; Motherwell, and Cumbernauld, Northern Corridor, and Kilsyth. (Click each to register.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.co.uk\/e\/2003000638830?aff=oddtdtcreator\">\u00b7 Thursday 22nd October 1pm-3pm, Forgewood Community Centre, 49 Dinmont Crescent, Motherwell, ML1 3TT<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.co.uk\/e\/2003000831406?aff=oddtdtcreator\">\u00b7 Tuesday 27th October 1pm-3pm, Church of God, Parkburn Road, Kilsyth, G65 9DG<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Participants<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are looking to invite \u2018connectors\u2019 to this event &#8211; trusted professionals who have a \u201cwhat matters to you\u201d style conversation and helps someone find and access non-medical support in their area. This includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00b7 Link workers, community connectors or similar roles employed outside the NHS<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00b7 Specialist link workers<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00b7 NHS community link workers<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00b7 Staff from a range of community and voluntary organisations and local authority services who currently (or could) provide the support to which individuals are referred<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Participants should have experience and knowledge of:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00b7 Supporting people affected by health inequalities and who experience poorer health and wellbeing<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00b7 Addressing the building blocks of health<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00b7 Tackling social isolation and loneliness<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00b7 Delivering activities and support that can improve wellbeing and keep people well across different life stages<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00b7 Working locally in partnership across the public and voluntary sectors<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As part of the Population Health Framework, the Scottish Government are developing a national social prescribing framework to help make sure more people can benefit from good quality social prescribing wherever they live and whatever their circumstances.
