Following the sudden and unexpected passing of Christine McNally on Tuesday 3rd September 2024, VANL would like to pay tribute to the remarkable and valued contribution she made to the Voluntary Sector in North Lanarkshire.
Christine worked closely with VANL in her leadership role for the sector as Community Solutions Locality Host for the Coatbridge locality and previously for the Wishaw and Shotts Locality. During this time, Christine helped numerous organisations and individuals through her guidance and in-depth local knowledge.
Christine was someone who thrived on helping others and would go above and beyond to ensure that nobody was in need. No stranger to speaking out, she was a great advocate for the sector and for the individuals and groups she worked with.
Her work in the village of Glenboig and the wider Coatbridge locality helped to make a real difference to others’ lives and her heart was firmly rooted in the voluntary sector. Christine’s sense of humour and down to earth approach made her a great colleague and peer.
As we remember Christine at this time, we are grateful for the unique contribution she made and all the lives she touched. Christine’s passing has left a huge gap and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and worked with her.
