Update 06/08/2025: This programme is now full and is no longer accepting new enquiries. Thank you for your interest.
North Lanarkshire Council’s Working for Families Programme is seeking support from partners in the third sector to create work placements within their organisation for Working for Families registered clients.
Working for Families has a caseload of clients who would benefit from six months work experience to support them on their work journey.
North Lanarkshire Council will support each organisation with full employee and oncosts. Each placement needs to be at least 8 hours per week, with a maximum of 35 hours per week, the rate of pay is the Real Living Wage (£12.60 per hour). Duration is six months and must be completed no later than 31st March 2026.
· Your organisation would be responsible for paying the above to clients during the six-month placement and this would be claimed back at 13- and 26-weeks;
· A wraparound service will be provided by Routes to Work for both the client and the employer, this can include upskilling of the client;
· To be eligible, the client must be currently registered with Working for Families at Routes to Work or part of our WFF Third Sector Grants Programme
· The employer must be third sector and based in North Lanarkshire
Working for Families plan to host parent information/recruitment sessions across North Lanarkshire to provide clients with the opportunity to discuss and explore the various roles available.
