We’re thrilled to announce a significant new initiative that marks VANL engaging at an enhanced level with our communities: the trial of the Bridge community development model, within the broader BridgeNL Framework, which includes integration with VANL website and a dedicated North Lanarkshire CVS co-production app. This truly represents VANL being innovative in how we empower and connect our communities.
Are you ready to be an early innovator and help shape the future of community engagement in NL? We’re actively looking for individuals and Community Voluntary Sector (CVS) organisations across North Lanarkshire to trial the BridgeNL app.
The BridgeNL Model was meticulously designed to further support and advance community development in North Lanarkshire. It seamlessly supports both in-person and digital participation, guiding the CVS in its pursuit of information and engagement while offering tailored solutions and tools. Crucially, it supports CVS Development and Empowerment through active participation, co-production, collaboration, and appreciative inquiry principles. It also fully encompasses the North Lanarkshire CommUnity Agreement, which sets out shared core values and guiding principles to strengthen collaboration among NL residents, the CVS, the public sector, and the business sector for a better North Lanarkshire.
The BridgeNL model has four layers and six community development paths that are currently being incorporated into the VANL website. It also offers a dedicated interactive co-production application, and this is where your vital contribution comes in!
To make this trial a success, and to ensure VANL takes a truly transformational approach to community engagement, we’re looking for individuals and CVS organisations within North Lanarkshire who would be interested in becoming early innovators, testers, and providers of valuable feedback.
We would greatly appreciate your help in identifying potential participants. Please note that we reserve the right to select organisations to maintain a well-balanced locality ratio across North Lanarkshire. If you are enthusiastic about trialling a new system that could improve local participation, simplify community engagement, and provide the tools for all CVS organisations to publish and share their information on events, activities, and services in one central place, pleasefill in the form below and tell us why you are best placed for this trial. BridgeNL is free to access and use. By supporting this trial, you will help transform how we share information between CVS organisations and local communities across North Lanarkshire.
If you know of any names or organisations who you think would be a good fit, please forward this page to them.
This is a fantastic opportunity to further engage our communities, ensure transparency, and significantly improve how we work together.
Let’s build a more connected, actively participating North Lanarkshire, together!
Many thanks for your support!
